AUGMENTED REALITY

PTC Inc. and Rockwell Automation together for new technologies in the digital sector

A strategic partnership based on resources, technologies, skills in the sector and great market presence: this is what this strategic alliance focus on! Augmented reality sensors can help first-line workers to assemble complex products safely. The operator can use the viewer to obtain production data in real time and instructions for a safe assembly according to their needs. In addition, machine builders can proactively monitor their installed base from anywhere in the world, displaying a digital twin of a machine or even the entire production process. The goal of the partnership is to align the respective technologies in order to manage the Smart Factory:

Rockwell Automation Platform:
- FactoryTalk MES
- FactoryTalk Analytics and Industrial Automation

 PTC Platform:
- ThingWorx for IoT
- Kepware for industrial connection
- Vuforia for the augmented reality (AR)

"Leveraging Rockwell Automation’s industry-leading industrial control and software technology, strong brand, and domain expertise with PTC’s award-winning technology enables industrial enterprises to capitalize on the promise of the Industrial IoT.
